While several Latinos have guest starred on NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU) over the years, a Latino has never had a starring role on the hit procedural. But that might be about to change!

Latinos on Law & Order: Through the Years

TVLine.com is reporting that not one, but two, Latino stars are among the top five finalists to replace departing star Christopher Meloni on SVU. They include: David Conrad (Ghost Whisperer), Kevin Alejandro (True Blood, Southland), Michael Raymond-James (Terriers), Danny Pino (Cold Case) and Rhys Coiro (Entourage). A decision will probably be made very soon, as all five actors are being flown to New York where they will test tomorrow opposite returning SVU star, Mariska Hargitay.

Pino, 37, who's Cuban, is best known for his role as Scotty Valens on the hit CBS series, Cold Case, (2003-2010), while Alejandro, who's Mexican, is known for his roles on TNT"s Southland (as Det. Nate Moretta), and True Blood (as orderly Jesus Velasquez).
