Pitbull has been confirmed to perform his smash hit “Give Me Everything” at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards! The 30-year-old Cuban American rapper, whose hit single featuring Ne-Yo and singer Nayer reached the number one spot on iTunes earlier this summer, will take the stage next Sunday, Aug. 28 at 9 p.m. (Live ET/Tape Delayed PT.
Though “Give Me Everything” has brought him tremendous success, it may also be cause of a new headache for the rapper. Yesterday, we reported that actress Lindsay Lohan is suing Pitbull and the producers of the song for the lyric “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.” According to MTV, the suit seeks an injunction to stop all defendants (Pitbull, Ne-Yo, and producer Afrojack) from broadcasting the song.
Mr. Worldwide was nominated for two VMA awards – Best Collaboration and Best Pop Video. We’re excited to see him perform on Sunday because if its anything like his appearance on The Today Show last month, we’re in for a treat!
