Our 5 Favorite Latinos on 'Southland!'

TNT's LAPD police drama Southland is back for season five, premiering tonight at 10/9c. To get you ready for another round of detectives and beat cop action in L.A., we rounded up five of our favorite Latinos to appear on Southland. Check them out and let us know who's your favorite.
Kevin Alejandro: The sexy Mexican American actor played Gangs & Narcotics Detective Nate Moretta, Southland's family man and partner-slash-best friend to Detective Sammy Bryant (Shawn Hatosy). Unfortunately, his character was beaten to death by gang bangers in season 3.

Laz Alonso: The 38-year-old Cuban American Wall Street banker-turned-actor, who stars as FBI agent Will Moreno in NBC's new crime series Deception, played Detective Gil Puente who eventually replaced Nate Morretta on Southland.

Yara Martinez: The Miami-born Cuban actress, who's guest starred in ER, Breakout Kings, and Chase, started off as a ballerina being taking it to Hollywood. She played the wife of Detective Nate Moretta.

Amaury Nolasco: The Puerto Rican actor, who's best known for his role as inmate Fernando Sucre on FOX’s cult classic Prison Break, just wrapped up shooting In the Blood with Danny Trejo in Puerto Rico. He guest starred as Detective Rene Cordero on Southland in season two, and sadly didn't return when it got picked up by TNT.

Roxana Brusso: The Puruvian American actress, who had recurring roles on Touch, Melrose Place, and Beverly Hills 90210, played no-nonsense Detective Alicia Fernández on Southland. She took a break from acting for a few years after her parents passed away and had to start from the bottom up when she returned, working in restaurants to pay the bills. Hard work pays off!
