
Nicole Richie is ready to get back on the small screen.

The star is set to star in NBC's upcoming scripted comedy, Great News, E! News has confirmed. The series centers around a mother-daughter relationship when the mom, played by Andrea Martin, starts interning at her daughter's, played by Briga Heelan, work place. Richie will be playing, Portia, a young co-host at the cable news network. She will be replacing Kimrie Lewis-Davis for the role.
We are interested to see Richie make the transition from reality TV to sitcoms. This is definitely going to be a different role from the one she played on her VH1 show, Candidly Nicole.
