Nicole Richie Gets Her Own ABC Sitcom

We’re sure several Hollywood actresses made angry calls to their agents after hearing this news. According to Variety, Nicole Richie will headline her own half hour comedy, which is still under development at ABC. The story centers around Richie as a professional woman with complicated family relationships. She’s struggling to figure out what role she'll take as her life and her family evolve.

The show will be written by Daisy Gardner (Californication), while Warren Bell (According to Jim) is set to executive produce. Because Richie, former star of reality series The Simple Life, came up with the idea for the show, she will also get a producer credit.

Now that Richie can call herself a busy mother of two, a fashion designer, a novelist and a working actress, we wonder what’s next for her. What else is there?
