The feud between American Idol judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj is far from over. The drama began after reports surfaced that the “Pink Friday” rapper allegedly cursed out Mimi during auditions for the hit Fox competition.
A few weeks later, the 42-year-old singer spoke to Barbara Walters exclusively about the incident and revealed that Nicki, 29, threatened her off-camera and said, "If I had a gun, I'd shoot a b****."
The veteran journalist shared her notes of her conversation with Mariah on The View and stated, “I want to thank Mariah for coming on and talking to me about this, and if Nicki wants to call us we would be happy to take the phone call.”
Instead of taking up Barbara on the interview, Nicki vented about the issue on her new reality television series for E! Nicki Minaj: My Truth, according to ET. “My jaw was dropped open. Never in my life did I say anything regarding a gun,” she also added, “Am I not good enough for you to get my side, because I’m a little black girl that raps?”
Minaj then continued to open-up about the topic, "Because if I was J.Lo, you would have called J.Lo's camp. But are we not good enough for you Barbara?"
Ouch! This kind of makes us miss the Jennifer Lopez days on American Idol. Watch The View clip and let us know which side you’re on!
