Naya Rivera is Graduating on 'Glee'

It’s official: Naya Rivera and her senior Glee cast mates are graduating. TV Line reports that it has been confirmed by FOX president Kevin Reilly that the part-Puerto Rican actress and her McKinley High cohorts will not be returning to the show next season.

As far as the idea of a New York-based spinoff series with the graduating characters, Reilly said, “There will not be a spinoff, but those characters will graduate and it’s led to a very interesting idea that I think is going to really give us something cool to dig into next season.”

Recently, the cast and creative team of Glee taped an episode of Inside the Actors Studio, which is scheduled to air on Bravo in January. According to, creator Ryan Murphy said that even when some characters graduate, they are still welcome to be a part of the show.
