Majority rules, even when it comes to the small screen.
CableTV.com analyzed the most popular TV shows from IMDB and data from Google trends from the past 12 months and found that people are most likely to watch what others are watching in their state.
The findings showed the most popular programs in each state — some of which made perfect sense, and others not so much. Some obvious results include Texans watching Narcos, New Mexico natives binging on Breaking Bad, and New Jersey folk sitting down for The Sopranos. New York’s top show was Gotham, whereas California’s was Silicon Valley and Florida was Tyrant. But what about series like Orange is the New Black and Power?
