Mark Consuelos Does Not Want to Replace Regis Philbin

Although rumors are swirling around the replacement of Regis Philbin on Live With Regis and Kelly, one person is out of the running for sure: Kelly Ripa's husband, Mark Consuelos

"The one person who has zero interest in that job would be my husband," Ripa told E! News recently.  “He always says he likes being married better than he likes doing that job because he says that it would be too much for us.”

As we previously reported, Mario Lopez was rumored to have met with Michael Gelman, the producer behind the show.  The father and Extra host said he was honored to be mentioned in the discussion of who should replace the veteran host.  “I love Regis and Kelly,” he said.  “I had a great time doing the show when I filled in many times. I’m looking forward to filling in more. Kelly and I get along great. We have great chemistry.”

CNN’s Anderson Cooper and E! News’ Ryan Seacrest are reportedly in the running to replace Philbin, who leaves his seat in November.  “I don’t really have a top pick because we haven’t really thought about it that much,” she said.  “We’re just more concerned about sort of honoring him now.”
