LIVE Golden Globes Coverage: 'Carlos' Wins, Edgar Ramirez Loses to Al Pacino

The five and a half hour-long movie, Carlos, (starring Venezuelan actor, Edgar Ramirez) pulled off a surprise win at tonight's Golden Globe Awards, beating out heavy favorites, The Pacific, Temple Grandin, and You Don't Know Jack for Best Mini-Series Or Motion Picture Made for Television.

Ramirez, who portrayed Venezuelan revolutionary, Ilich Ramírez Sánchez (AKA Carlos the Jackal) in the film, was also nominated for Best Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for TV, but lost to Al Pacino for his portrayal of Dr. Jack Kevorkian in HBO's You Don't Know Jack 

Mexican director, Alejandro González Iñárritu's Biutiful, starring Javier Bardem, also lost to Denmark's, In a Better World, in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
