Lin-Manuel Miranda Guest Starring on "Modern Family"

Twitter

Our favorite Broadway star, In the Heights creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, has landed a guest spot on ABC's hit comedy Modern Family!

Miranda created a few instantly classic episodes of House when he guest starred opposite Hugh Laurie as Alvie, House's roomate in the mental institution where the doctor resided for a while—so we can only imagine what he has in store for us on Modern Family.

Lin was super excited about sharing the majority of his scenes with the incredibly sexy Sofia Vergara and the super talented Ed O'Neill, but what was really making this recently married man nervous was the fact that Fred Savage (of Wonder Years fame) directed his episode.

Not much has leaked about his character on the show, but we know he rocks a mullet— don't worry, Lin, you pull it off. His episode will air later this season.

Until then, we'll just have to be content to stare at the above photo and giggle...

Mariela Rosario,

I'm a raging opinionista and I love to share my ramblings on everything from pop culture to food to stuff that makes me laugh & cry! I've worked in all types of media (TV, film, print) and was previously the online editor at Latina magazine before joining Mamás Latinas. On most nights you can find me working my way through my library of cookbooks or playing with my puppy Lola (my only child so far). I have a wonderful hubby who shares my passion for any and all kinds of travel. Together, we've formed a semi-professional wine drinking team.
