Benjamin Bratt, 46: (Law & Order)
The Peruvian actor earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 1999 for his nuanced and smart portrayal of Detective Reynaldo “Rey” Curtis—a politically conservative, by-the-book detective, who was seriously sexy.
Alana de la Garza, 34: (Law & Order)
Alana joined NBC’s Law & Order in the show’s seventeenth season as A.D.A. Consuela “Connie” Rubirosa—a passionate and sensitive attorney. The first Hispanic Assistant District Attorney on L & O, Alana is only the second Latin actor to have a starring role on the show (Bratt was the first).
Newest Recruit—Alfred Molina, 57 (Law & Order: Los Angeles)
Molina, best known for his fantastic performance as Diego Rivera in Frida (2002) will play a deputy district attorney on Law & Order: Los Angeles. But this isn’t Molina’s first time appearing on a Law & Order series. In 2005, he guest starred on L & O: SVU as Gabriel Duvall, a rapist who had Asperger's Syndrome.
Kirk Acevedo, 38: (Law & Order: Trial by Jury)
Law & Order: Trial by Jury—the third spinoff in the L & O franchise—only lasted one season, but that was enough time to welcome the second sexiest Latino actor to star in the franchise behind Bratt— Kirk Acevedo! In 2005, the Puerto Rican actor played former police officer turned D.A Investigator, Hector Salazar, who worked for the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
Rita Moreno, 78: (Law & Order: Criminal Intent)
From 2006-2007, the Puerto Rican Oscar winner played Frances Goren—Detective Robert Goren’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) mother on the hit police procedural. In an emotional episode, Frances (Moreno ) dies from cancer after telling Bobby that his father was a serial rapist and a murderer.
Rosie Perez, 45: (Law & Order: SVU)
Puerto Rican Oscar nominee, Rosie Perez (Fearless) guest starred on an emotional episode of SVU’s 11th season, playing Eva Banks, a young sexual abuse victim’s mother who squares off against the head of a pedophilia organization to defend her son. Perez’s jaw-dropping performance earned critical raves and Emmy buzz.
Danny Pino, 37: (Law & Order: SVU)
Best known for his role as Detective Scotty Valens on CBS' Cold Case (2003-2010), Danny Pino is joining the cast of the long-running procedural as a series regular for its 13th season! Law & Order executive producer, Dick Wolf is excited to have the Cuban actor on board. “I’m very pleased that we have two amazing actors joining the cast,” Wolf said of Pino and actress, Kelli Giddish, who is also reportedly joining the show. "I know this combination will give us the opportunity to explore the world of SVU with new eyes.”
