One of the revelations in Hancock is that the reluctant superhero doesn’t know who he is—a condition that not only haunts him but the film itself as it tries to stretch the very definition of the superhero movie. The problem? The movie experiments in two different directions: During the first half of the movie, we get Will Smith as a hard-drinking, bitter pain in the ass with superhuman strength, who can fly, stop bullets, cut glass with his bare hands and is pretty much invincible.

Now that they've seen what Shakira's hips can do, music conglomerate Live Nation wants to see what the rest of her can deliver. The Colombian pop star, who's single "Hips Don't Lie" catapulted to the top of the charts in 2006 and made her subsequent Oral Fixation tour one of the most popular in the last decade, is on the verge of signing a multimillion dollar deal with all-in-one music behemoth, worth close to $70 million according to the New York Post, though insiders say Shaki is worth quite a bit more.

Womanizer? Nah. Homewrecker? Not today. Baseball player Alex Rodriguez is trying out a Good Guy persona for a change of pace. The New York Yankee, who has been under fire for the past 24 hours because of his late-night visits to a certain (still) married superstar, cleaned up his act by spending quality time with a child from the Make-a-Wish Foundation yesterday. While his gal-pal Madonna had a romantic reunion with her husband Guy Ritchie, A-Rod and his buddy went to a Yankee game, and somehow stumbled into a gaggle of paparazzi along the way.
