Salvadoran Dancing With The Stars contestant, J.R. Martinez, has garnered support from Tuesday’s guest performer, Justin Beiber, according to The Hollywood Reporter. After 28 year-old Martinez performed on the dance floor with partner Karina Smirnoff, he sang an excerpt from Beiber’s song “Never Say Never” in an interview with Brooke Burke. But after a few bars, he forgot the lyrics and returned to the group to check his scores and that’s when Beiber gave Martinez a confusing kudos.
Martinez recalled the conversation saying that 17-year-old Beiber, “was backstage and he came up and was like, 'Yo, great job.' I don't know if he meant great job doing everything on the show or great job singing the song. I personally don't think it was for singing the song.”
Despite Martinez’s disappointing scores from the judges this week on DWTS, he’s keeping his head held high. He’s hoping to tap into Beiber’s fans to stay in the competition. “If we get his people to vote, man we don't need to worry about anything.” Hear that Beleibers? Vote for J.R.!
