J.R. Martinez Spices Up DWTS with a Sexy Samba

All My Children star and Army veteran, J.R. Martinez, is showing America the Latin sizzle that’s in his blood on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. Not only did the Salvadoran use his roots in his samba routine dancing to Gloria Estefan’s “Conga,” but he and his dance partner Karina Smirnoff earned the highest score of the night on Monday.

Martinez, 28, whose full name, Jose Rene Martinez, he revealed with pride to the judges and audience, said his heritage helped with this Brazilian dance, “One of the advantages that I think I have in the Samba this week is the fact that I am Latin. Being raised by a single mother is that I was always dancing with my mother and I think that will help me do well with the samba.”

The judges couldn’t get enough of Martinez’s impressive dance moves. DWTS judge Bruno Tonioli said, “You were like a loin-shattering sex machine. You had so much fire down below it was like a volcano!” Judge Carrie Ann Inaba even whipped out some Spanish, saying, “¡Ay papi, muy caliente! That is the way to dance that samba.”

The DWTS contestant made such a lasting impression that judge Len Goodman called Martinez’s example the model for dancing the samba. "In the future, if anyone says to me, how should a guy dance the samba? I'll say just look at J.R."
