J.R. Martinez Lands A Perfect Score On 'Dancing With the Stars' Finale!

Last night was the first part of ABC's Dancing With the Stars season finale, and our man J.R. Martinez landed a perfect score!

Despite his recent ankle injury, the part-Salvadorian Army veteran-turned actor pushed through last night during his freestyle performances with partner Karina Smirnoff—and his hip-hop/samba mash-up (his second performance of the night) earned the actor a perfect 30 score!

The DWTS judges were throroughly impressed by the dancing duo’s fancy techniques. “Those were the sickest lifts I've ever seen!” DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba said of one of 28-year-old Martinez’s moves. For us, one of the highlights was the music chosen for Martinez and Smirnoff’s performances. Dominican singer Kat Deluna’s “Whine Up” and “Let’s Get Loud” by Boricua singer/actress Jennifer Lopez blasted away for their sexy Latin ballroom dance.

We will definitely be tuning in for the results, which air tonight at 9/8c.

Best of luck to Martinez! Here are his final performances:
