Introducing 'Carrie Diaries' Star Chloe Bridges!

Before Carrie Bradshaw was obsessed with Manolo Blahniks, she was going to high school in Connecticut during the 80s, mourning the death of her mother, and interning in Manhattan. That’s the basis for CW’s new Sex and the City prequel, The Carrie Diaries, a teen drama starring half-Honduran actress Chloe Bridges (born Chloe Suazo).

Bridges plays Carrie’s frenemy Donna Ladonna, whose popularity and confidence is sure to wreak havoc on the plot. Every story needs a villain, so it was only right to cast the 21-year-old beauty with lips like Angelina Jolie to play the mean girl. In the novel, written by Candace Bushnell, Donna is an aspiring model who’s feared by her classmates and has many male admirers, so we're not sure how likeable her character is.

Before being cast on The Carrie Diaries, Bridges starred as Zoey Moreno on Freddie and played Nick Jonas' love interest in Disney’s TV movie Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. Bridges’ fashion sense was meant for a Sex and the City prequel. She often posts pictures sporting stylish vintage ensembles and describes herself on Twitter as “80% teenage boy, 10% sophisticated middle-aged woman, 10% gypsy mermaid. Or something like that.”

Bridges was born in Louisiana and recently sparked rumors of dating Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson when she was spotted riding on the back of his motorcycle in Los Angeles. We’re sure this is just the beginning of many sightings to come for an actress on the rise.

Watch Bridges tonight at 8/7c on the series premiere of The Carrie Diaries.
