By the looks of the latest sneak peek of NBC’s hit show The Voice, we think Christina Milian would make a great journalist! As we reported this past fall, the 30-year-old Cuban American singer was named the singing competition’s new social media correspondent for its second season. When news broke back in October, Milian tweeted in excitement that she would be “your eyes and ears behind and beyond the stage for @NBCTheVoice.”
Part of the cubana’s job is to interview the advisors of The Voice, which include legendary singer/songwriter Lionel Richie, American Idol alumna Kelly Clarkson, and R&B crooner Ne-Yo. Milian maintains an extremely professional poise during her interviews, just as any Latina star would.
Back to The Voice – it seems as though the NBC show is becoming a threat to FOX’s longstanding American Idol, according to EW. During a recent panel in Pasadena, California, Idol judge Randy Jackson mentioned Javier Colon, last year’s winner on The Voice. “The winner of The Voice, I will remind you, was an artist who had a deal at Capitol Records for several years, a failed contract,” he said. “That show was almost ‘second chance people.’” Ouch.
Either way, we can’t wait for the second season of The Voice, which also brings back Christina Aguilera as a coach.
