EXCLUSIVE: Eugenio Derbez is NOT Replacing Charlie Sheen on 'Two & A Half Men'

This morning there were rumors on the web that comedian Eugenio Derbez (La Misma Luna) would be replacing Charlie Sheen on the hit CBS sitcom, Two & A Half Men. But a rep for the Mexican actor says the rumor is 100% not true.

"[Eugenio] was on a red carpet on Wednesday and was asked about a pilot he did with Rob Schneider for CBS," explains the rep. "He had heard that the pilot with Rob could be replacing Two & A Half Men and from there, all of a sudden it became about him replacing Charlie Sheen on Two & A Half Men," adds the rep. "This is totally invented."

There's still no word on Derbez's character in the new, still untitled pilot, but we do know that the show will center on Schneider, who plays a man who marries into a large, Mexican-American family that has trouble accepting him as their new son-in-law. Word is the show is based on Schneider's own relationship with television producer Patricia Azarcoya Arce, whom he married on April 23, 2011.
