Eva Longoria is one busy mujer!
According to Deadline, Longoria’s production company, UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, has sold two projects: a half-hour comedy to NBC and a soap opera style drama to Lifetime.
The untitled comedy show will be based upon the life and stand up of comedian Erik Rivera, and will be “reminiscent of ABC’s The George Lopez Show.” Writer Peter Murrieta of Welcome to the Family has also been brought on to the show.
Rivera tweeted the news on Friday, posting a picture of him, producer Eva Longoria, and writer Peter Murrieta. The caption read: “Latinos at every position #History.”
Up-and-coming comedian Rivera is half Puerto Rican and half Guatemalan. In 2007, the Pace University alum won “Best New Comic” at the Latino Laugh Festival. He’s also made appearances on MTV, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NUVOtv, and Comedy Central.
