ABC bought a political drama Longoria is producing through her UnbeliEVAble Entertainment production company along with Conde Nast Entertainment, according to TV Series Finale.

The untitled drama written and executive produced by Revenge’s Nikki Toscano, is inspired by former San Antonio, TX mayor Julian Castro, who is now the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and his twin brother, U.S. Congressman Joaquin Castro.

It will be a Texas-sized soap about an ambitious political family with differing agendas loosely inspired by a 2013 Vogue article “Pair Of Aces,” which profiled Democratic rising-star twins Julian Castro, who was the mayor of San Antonio at the time, and Joaquin, then-newly elected U.S. congressman, Deadline reports.

This is the second go-round for Longoria’s production company and the network with this concept as they tried developing the show last year with a different writer.

Now, Toscano is on board and will work alongside Longoria, Ben Spector, and Conde Nast’s Dawn Ostroff.

It’s a network reunion for Toscano and Longoria. The primetime soap, Revenge, was Toscano’s last work on ABC and Longoria starred on Desperate Housewives.
