
Dora the Explorer Turns 10! See Her Many Looks Through the Years

¡Felicidades Dora! Dora Marquez, the first-ever animated Latina character, debuted on Nickelodeon August 14, 2000 and immediately became the number-one rated preschool show on commercial television to date. The show has been honored with various awards and received 16 Daytime Emmy nominations.
This Sunday, Nickelodeon celebrates with an hour-long primetime TV movie, Dora’s Big Birthday Adventure, premiering at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). The special features guest stars Rosie Perez, John Leguizamo and Hector Elizondo. Stay tuned after the special for a 12-minute Dora 10th anniversary documentary at 9 p.m.
