MTV is developing a single-camera comedy pilot about five 20-something college graduates who are struggling to find work in the city of Chicago—and the network has cast Mexican heartthrob Diego Boneta as one of the leads!
In the show, which is being produced by Dirty Sexy Money creator Craig Wright, Boneta plays Miles, a creative and talented guy who assumed that his skills would lead him to the job of his dreams immediately after graduation, but instead lands a series of odd, low-paying gigs that barely afford him the opportunity to make ends meat.
"It is a comedy about the millenial generation's experience entering young adult life and the workforce in today's economic climate," MTV's head of programming David Janollari said. "It's about post-college reality versus the amplified expectations... exploring all the firsts from love, family, friends and career in today's post-Gen X world."
Boneta, who is also a talented singer (and one of our 25 Brightest Stars Under 25) has had supporting roles on hit teen dramas like the CW’s 90210 and ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars. He recently starred in the TV movie, Mean Girls 2.
