The Cuban talk-show queen whom we all grew up loving, Cristina Saralegui, has joined Telemundo. On Tuesday, the network announced that Saralegui would be developing, executive producing and hosting a weekly variety program set to debut towards the end of the year.
The famous Spanish language talk-show host has a lot on her plate now! She also recently signed an exclusive deal with XM radio to launch the Cristina Channel for fall 2011. The radio show will target “multi-generational Latinos” in the U.S. according to XM radio. The channel is expected to include a line up of shows consisting of entertainment, news, home décor, travel, beauty and more.
“I’m thrilled about this new affiliation with NLB,” Saralegui told XM radio. The Cuban American television host became one of the most influential Latinas in media with The Cristina Show, which aired on Univision over 20 years and was just cancelled in November 2010.
