Christina Aguilera has officially signed on to be the third judge on NBC's new singing competition show The Voice, joining fellow crooners Adam Levine (Maroon 5) and Cee Lo Green (of Goodie Mob and Gnarls Barkley). This seems like a genius move for the pop diva, who clearly decided to put ego aside after her recent embarrassing arrest for public intoxication to join the new television show.
"I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it. To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists’ careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms. I am so happy to be working with fellow Grammy Award winners Adam and Cee Lo as I feel there is so much we can all bring to The Voice.”
With this kind of star power on the judging panel and such a diverse mix of personalities, we're going to venture a guess that The Voice just may become must watch TV. We're excited for Christina and think this could be just what she needs to help rehabilitate her image. We just hope she receives whatever help she might need before the show starts taping.
Good luck Christina! We can't wait to see you on TV every week.
