The Cancelled Club: 5 Eddie Cibrian TV Shows Axed Too Soon

Earlier this week, NBC’s The Playboy Club—starring Cuban actor Eddie Cibrian—became the first official cancellation of the 2011-12 TV season. The peacock network announced that it was pulling the plug on the period drama after the show's third episode drew just over three million viewers (a very low number for a primetime drama on a major network). But if you ask us, The Playboy Club had a lot of potential. Cibrian was fantastic on the show and this past summer we named the show one of the 5 Best New Shows of the Fall.
This isn't the first time one of Cibrian's shows have been cancelled too early—here are five other shows starring the Cuban actor that got the ax way too soon.
Chase (2010-2011)
After he was unceremoniously booted from CBS’ hit show, CSI: Miami, Eddie joined the cast of the NBC drama Chase as a bounty hunter named Ben Crowley for a multi-episode arc. The Cuban actor had the potential to become a series regular on the show, unfortunately Chase—which centered on a team of U.S. marshalls hunting America's top fugitives—struggled in the ratings and the peacock network did not renew the show for a second season.
