In the Can: The sexy siren comes into her own next year with a series of high-profile roles. After a kick-start with The Spirit, which opens Christmas Day this year, Eva will appear as a prostitute opposite Nicholas Cage's crooked cop in Bad Lieutenant: Port Call of New Orleans, directed by German legend Werner Herzog, and as a contestant on a deadly gameshow in Live!, which premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.

Coming Soon: Eva's got her plate full with Trouble Man, a comedy co-starring Chris Tucker, in which she plays a woman who's had nothing but bad luck with men (that'll take some serious acting chops from our girl), and Queen of the South, Eva's pet project with Robert Rodriguez's ex-wife Elizabeth Avellan, about the girlfriend of a murdered Mexican drug lord who flees to Spain and sets up her own operation. Josh Hartnett and Ben Kingsley have also signed on.

Score one for Perez Hilton. It's no secret the chismoso is at war with half of Hollywood, but we never expected him to win a major battle. The self-proclaimed Laptop Samurai did just that on Friday, when a judge ordered celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson to pay him $87,000 in attorney's fees resulting from a defamation suit she filed against him—and lost—last year.

Race-car driver Helio Castroneves' tears of dispair from last week's court appearance, when he was indicted for tax fraud, turned to tears of joy on Saturday for coming in first in the Petit Le Mans Prototype 2 Class auto race. The 10-hour race was held in Atlanta.

"This was a terrific win for Helio and Penske Racing tonight in the 1,000-mile Petit Le Mans race," Bed Denker, senior vice president of the Penske Corp., told People. "Helio is elated and proud of his team after what has been a long week for him."

Forget putting his foot in his mouth, British television host Eamonn Holmes managed to get an entire shoe store in there when he mistakenly announced that Salma Hayek was a lesbian on live television this morning.

Holmes made the error when interviewing the Mexican and Lebanese actress on his show This Morning, and was struggling to understand her strong Mexican accent.

"So, you're a lesbian?" Eamonn remarked when she was describing her mixed race background.

Madonna must really love playing with fire...or, at least, playing with the press. The singer, who recently came back from the brink of divorce from her husband Guy Ritchie over allegations that she had been having an affair with New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, was spotting dining with A-Rod in New York on Tuesday night.

Looks like Dancing with the Stars champ Helio Castroneves has been spending too much time in the fast lane. The professional race-car driver was indicted Thursday in a federal income tax case in Florida, and is accused by a federal grand jury of siphoning millions of dollars in income to a Panamanian shell company from 1999 to 2004, People reports.

Brazilian-born Helio is expected to appear in a Miami court on Friday to face charges of conspiracy and tax evasion. If convicted of all charges, he faces a maximum penalty of 35 years in prison.
