Ana de la Reguera to Star in 'Gateway' TV Series

One of our cover girls seems to gravitate towards Westerns! Mexican actress Ana de la Reguera, who starred in this past summer’s blockbuster Cowboys and Aliens, is set to star in TNT’s Gateway, according to Reforma. The 34-year-old told the Mexican newqspaper that her role in the post Civil War era show would be one of her most hard core roles yet.

“I think this is one of the strongest characters I’ve been given,” De la Reguera said. “It’s a woman who without a doubt defends everything she has fought for. She has a strong character—doesn’t give in.” In Gateway, De la Reguera plays Lola Johnson, a bar owner. “She’s alone, she’s had it hard in life and doesn’t believe in love.”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, De la Reguera’s new show centers on three brothers who try to save their community after their father (the town sheriff) is murdered. Two of the brothers try to win over De la Reguera’s character. Filming for the show is scheduled to begin today.
