'American Idol' Recap: Did Scotty McCreery Croon His Way to the Finals?

Regardless of Jennifer Lopez's hair, we can not ignore the fact that part Puerto Rican country crooner Scotty McCreery has managed to make it this far in season 10 of American Idol! He's facing stiff competition, particularly from Haley Reinhart, who seemed about poised to run away with the show last night, until she took a tumble. But hey, even J.Lo has had her share of trips and fails, and we know that what matters most is recovering with grace which is exactly what she did and Lopez commended her for it.

OK, back to Scotty. He kept is safe and sang three country songs; Lonestar's "Amazed", "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not" by Thompson Square and Kenny Rogers' "She Believes in Me".

We really wish he would just bust out and sing something upbeat with a bit more attitude, but he's working with what he's got. Plus, Randy Jackson keeps telling him he's "money," and even went so far as to declare that Scotty was approaching "Garth territory" as in country music legend Garth Brooks! That's got to be a good thing, right?

Scotty won round two in the eyes of the judges, but it seems too close to call to us! Who do you think is going to make it to American Idol finales?
