Half-Mexican actress Alana de la Garza is quickly developing a reputation as an actress who is always invited back to shows she used to star on.
TVGuide.com broke the news that the 35-year-old actress, who reprised her role as A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa on Law & Order: LA last spring (Alana had previously played Connie on the original Law & Order for four seasons), has now been tapped to reprise her role as Marisol Delko in the season 10 premiere of CBS' hit procedural, CSI: Miami, which is set to air Sunday, September 25th.
If you recall, Alana's character, Marisol was Delko's (Adam Rodriguez) older sister and Horatio Caine's (David Caruso) wife. Marisol was murdered (she was shot by a sniper) in the show's fourth season, which begs the question of how exactly she'll return to the show. (In all likelihood, Marisol will be back in flashbacks or return as a ghost).
CSI: Miami's co-executive producer, Barry O'Brien tells TV Guide that Marisol's return will play a part in resolving last season's cliff-hanger, in which Horatio was also shot. "It is a very, very personal encounter that gives him inspiration and insight into his predicament and ultimately how that predicament is resolved," O'Brien reveals.
