Adamari López won first place last night on the second season of Mira Quién Baila!
We’d like to think it was the culmination of good vibes we’ve been sending the 40-year-old Puerto Rican actress throughout the dance competition, but in truth, López more than earned the title.
After she won, the gorgeous actress’ face was glowing with victory during an interview with AOL Latino. “I would scream again but I screamed earlier and I think there are others doing interviews right now so I can’t scream, but I am so happy and very excited,” she said with a smile. “I am very appreciative of the public of their votes.” Speaking of votes, a dizzying 2 million votes poured in for López; that seals the deal for us that she was definitely one of the favorite contestants on the Univision show.
In her interview with AOL Latino, the actress also mentioned her charity of choice, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a foundation which fights against breast cancer. Susan G. Komen for the Cure will receive the grand prize money thanks to López’s win. The actress herself struggled with breast cancer several years ago.
For the title, López beat singer Priscila Angel and Boricua actor Erik Estrada, who came in third place. “I think I danced with my heart,” López said.
Congrats to López on her Mira Quién Baila win!
