9 Latino Faces To Watch on TV This Fall!

The Fall TV season kicks off in just two weeks, so there's no better time to introduce you to the Latino TV stars you'll be seeing on the small screen this fall. Here are nine of our favorites!

1. 2011 Fall TV: Eddie Cibrian

Eddie Cibrian, 37

The Show: Cibrian will star as a mob fixer in The Playboy Club, a new NBC drama set in 1963, that centers on the opening of the first Playboy Club in Chicago, and the rise and fall of the first Playboy bunnies.

Where You’ve Seen Him Before: Cibrian has guest starred on tons of shows including Ugly Betty and The Young and the Restless, but the Cuban actor is best known for his recurring role as Jesse Cardoza on the CBS procedural, CSI: Miami


2. 2011 Fall TV: Aimee Garcia

Aimee Garcia, 32

The Show: Aimee Garcia is joining the cast of Showtime’s hit serial killer drama Dexter as the new nanny for Dex's (Michael C. Hall) son, Harrison. Garcia, who will be introduced on season six as the kid sister of Detective Batista (David Zayas), will replace Maria Doyle Kennedy, who played nanny to Harrison in season 5. 

Where You’ve Seen Her Before: The part-Mexican, part Puerto Rican actress is best known for her role as George Lopez’s niece Veronica on The George Lopez Show, but she's also well known for her role as war-veteran turned badass helicopter pilot Marissa Benez on the NBC series, Trauma.


3. 2011 Fall TV: Kirk Acevedo

Kirk Acevedo, 39

The Show: Acevedo will play Detective Phil Carter, a member of a New York City homicide squad in the new NBC drama, Prime Suspect, which is based on the acclaimed British miniseries of the same name. 

Where You’ve Seen Him Before: The part-Puerto Rican, part-Chinese Acevedo stole the show as gang member Miguel Alvarez on HBO’s Oz, but he's probably best known for his role as FBI agent Charlie Francis on the sci-fi FOX series, Fringe


4. Fall TV Hector Elizondo

Hector Elizondo, 74

The ShowLast Man Standing is a new ABC comedy starring Home Improvement's Tim Allen as a manly-man fighting for his place in a world that seems to be increasingly dominated by women. Hector Elizondo will play Allen’s boss, Ed in the new comedy.

Where You’ve Seen Him Before: The Puerto Rican actor is best known for his Golden-Globe nominated performance in the Julia Roberts rom-com, Pretty Woman (1990).

 


5. Fall TV Ramon Rodriguez

Ramón Rodríguez, 31

The Show:  Ramon Rodriguez will play Bosley in ABC's reboot of the iconic 1970s TV show, Charlie's Angels. The show is set in modern-day Miami, and Rodriguez's female costars include, Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor (Grey's Anatomy) and Annie Ilonzeh (General Hospital).

Where You’ve Seen Him Before: The Puerto Rican actor is best known for his recurring role on HBO's critically acclaimed series, The Wire and for his turn opposite John Turturro in the big screen movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

 


6. Fall TV Nestor Carbonnel

Nestor Carbonell, 43

The Show: In Ringer, Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) stars as a troubled young woman named Bridget who tries to hide from the mob by assuming the identity of her twin sister Siobhan. Nestor Carbonell will play an FBI agent in charge of keeping Bridget safe so that she can testify against the mob.

Where You’ve Seen Him Before: The Cuban actor played photographer Luis Rivera in the Brooke Shields NBC sitcom, Suddenly Susan for four seasons (1996-2000), but he's best known for playing the ageless and mysterious Richard Alpert on ABC’s Lost


7. Fall TV Edward James Olmos

Edward James Olmos, 64

The Show: Edward James Olmos has landed a recurring role on the sixth season of Showtime’s hit serial killer drama, Dexter. He’ll play a brilliant, charismatic professor of religious studies. “It’s about salvation,” Dexter actress Lauren Velez told us about Olmos’ story line on the show. But don't expect Olmos’ character to be the next Miguel Prado or the next Trinity killer. “I don’t think Eddie is going to be Dexter’s nemesis,” says Velez. 

Where You’ve Seen Him Before: The Mexican actor is best known for his Oscar-nominated role as Jaime Escalante in Stand and Deliver (1988) and for his role as William Adama in the Syfy series, Battlestar Galactica (2004-2009).


8. Fall TV Mario Lopez

Mario Lopez, 37

The Show: Mario Lopez will host a new show for the CW entitled H8R, an hour-long reality series that pairs celebs with the common folk who "hate" them. Kim Kardashian and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi are expected to appear on the show. 

Where You’ve Seen Him Before: Best known for his role as wrestler A.C. Slater on Saved by the Bell, the Mexican actor is also known for hosting MTV's America’s Best Dance Crew and NBC's Extra.
