If you're under drinking age, you probably associate MTV more with Jersey Shore than music videos. Every year, the network attempts to correct this wrong with the Video Music Awards, where the biggest stars of the year pay homage to the M in MTV. Crazy red carpet outfits, backstage antics and acceptance speeches provide plenty of fun, but what we really look forward to are the performances. To amp us up for this Sunday's telecast, we made a list of our picks of the top 10 Latino performances in VMA history.

Daddy Yankee, "Gasolina" (2005)

2005 was the year Latinos took over the VMAs--and the pop charts, actually--and Daddy Yankee blew the lid off of the show when he hit the stage with Don Omar and Tego Calderon for a smoking' live performance of his reggaeton megabit "Gasolina." With Fat Joe introducing the trio, the stage practically shook with boricua pride.
