With HBO's hit comedy Entourage coming to an end tonight (series finale airs at 10:30 EST), we pay homage to the Latina stars who helped make the show comedy gold!
Sofia Vergara (Season 4)
In the season four premiere of Entourage, Sofia Vergara guest starred as a village girl from Bogotá who gets cast in the Vinny Chase (Adrian Grenier) film, Medellin. Sofia's character Leila has a very minor role in the film, but when the director of the movie, Billy Walsh (Rhys Coiro), becomes infatuated with Leila, it ends up disrupting the entire production. Vergara, who is brilliant at deadpan humor, played Leila as a naive, down-to-earth girl who is confused by the amount of attention she's getting from the director given how little screen time she actually has in the film. At one point, Billy tells Leila how essential her role is in the film, to which she replies, "but I'm only selling Bananas." Hilarious!
Jessica Alba (Season 1)
Jessica Alba guest starred on the HBO show's very first season as a version of herself. After bumping into Vince and the boys at lunch, Jess invites them to a party she's hosting for her friend Justine Chapin, a virginal pop singer (played by Gossip Girl star, Leighton Meester). While Vince flirts with Justine at the fiesta, Ari (Jeremy Piven) does his best and convince the Mexican actress to fire her management and sign with him. "I think you could be doing a lot more," he tells Jessica, to which she replies, "Your really talking shop right now? At my house? At my party? Can you believe this guy?"
Christina Aguilera (Season 7)
In the season seven finale, Ari (Jeremy Piven) hired Christina Aguilera to sing her song, "You Lost Me," at a surprise birthday party for his wife, Mrs. Ari (Perrey Reeves). But Mrs. Ari, who was fed up with Ari's antics never actually made it to the party, which broke Ari's heart. Still, Christina had to get paid for performing, and in a very funny scene the Ecuadorian singer tells Ari that in addition to compensating her, she expects him to give her his court side tickets to several Lakers playoff games. After the negotiation was finalized, Christina sang "You Lost Me" and it was, in a word, sublime.
Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Season 6)
Jamie-Lynn Sigler's role on season 6 of Entourage was supposed to be a one episode guest role, but when the show's executive producer Doug Ellin saw the chemistry between Sigler and Jerry Ferrara (who became both her on screen love interest and her real-life boyfriend), Ellin invited the Cuban actress to stick around for the entire season. Over the course of 11 episodes, Sigler played an outlandish version of herself who fell in love with Ferrara's character, Turtle and became like one of the guys. Her funniest moment on the show included throwing a drink in Turtle's face and cursing at him after Turtle tells the guys that he and Jamie had "fun" on a plane the day they met.
Dania Ramirez (Season 7)
Last season, Dominican actress Dania Ramirez joined the show in the recurring role of Alex, a sexy girl with plenty of attitude who worked for Turtle's (Jerry Ferrara) new company. Alex, who was a love interest for Turtle all of last season —and convinced him to get involved with a Tequila company called Avion—was funny because she repeatedly told Turtle off, and often acted like she was too hot to be with him. Ouch.
