It’s September, and that can only mean one thing: the fall TV season is about to get underway! On that note, here are 10 Latina faces to watch on TV this season.
Daniella Alonso, 31 (My Generation)
The Project: In this scripted new drama about a 10-year high school reunion, Boricua actress Daniella Alonso plays Brenda Serrano—the class “brain,”who—despite her successful job working for a D.C. Congressman—still pines for her high school sweetheart, Anders (Julian Morris).
Where you’ve seen her before: Alonso has had roles on shows like Friday Night Lights and As the World Turns, but she is best known for her recurring work as Ana Tagano, Lucas’ (Chad Michael Murray) love interest—who eventually came out of the closet and admitted she liked girls—on the second season of the CW’s long running drama, One Tree Hill. My Generation is Alonso’s first starring role on a primetime network drama.
Series Premiere: Thursday, September 23 at 8/7c (ABC)
