Think you know the story of TLC? Think again. Those of us who grew up in the early 90s may be familiar with the music of TLC but there is much more to know about one of the world’s most talented, celebrated and highest-selling female groups of all time.

Celebs including Diana Ross, Christina Milian, Missy Elliot, Ne-Yo turned out in a big way for the premiere of the VH1 bio-pic titled “Crazy, Sexy, Cool: The TLC Story.”

The movie chronicles TLC’s humble beginnings in Atlanta as they quickly rose to international fame in the 1990’s. The roles of the group are played by a talented young cast. KeKe Palmer portrays Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, Drew Sidora takes on the role of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Lil Mama captures the spirit of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes.

This dramatization follows the all-girl group through very public and high profile success, turmoil and the tragic death of “Left Eye.” Known for their R&B, funk and rap infused music coupled with bold honest lyrics. Whether they talked about safe-sex, self-esteem, or friendship they spoke to legions of fans who were right on the same page with them.
