Although President Obama received way more celebrity endorsements than Republican candidate Mitt Romney, the Senator is lucky enough to have Stacey Dash on his side. After being criticized for publically endorsing Romney, the former Single Ladies actress wrote an extensive 1,344-word essay to TMZ explaining why she voted for Team Mitt.

In her letter, the 45-year-old star of Mexican descent speaks highly of Barack Obama and calls him a “brilliant, understated, ethical [and] a great husband and father.” However, in her book that doesn’t exactly qualify him to be an amazing President because she believes, “It’s all about the economy, stupid!”

Stacey addresses her haters in the note, and writes, “The main objective of our nation must be repairing the economy. All our social concerns must come after this. Without a stable economy our great nation fails."

She continues, “I do not want to be a part of the hateful voices insulting each other. I want to be a part of the voices that helps shape the future. Don’t you?"

"Perhaps I publicly endorsed Romney from a slightly naive place, thinking that I could speak my voice without being criticized in such racially charged and hateful tones,” she says.

Now we know how Daddy Yankee must have felt when he endorsed Republican John McCain in 2008!

What do you think about Stacey speaking her mind?
