Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon recently opened up about the dilemma they're having with regards to selling the first baby pictures of their twins Moroccan and Monroe. Although Cannon had objected to exploiting the tots at first, it seems he's had a change of heart.
"Mariah and Nick are more concerned with doing the right thing than going to the highest bidder," a source close to the couple said. "They're talking to a number of publications about doing it in the best and most tasteful way."
We guess it's better to control the process than to let the slimy paparazzi sneak around to catch the first images, but it just all seems a little weird. Yes, Jennifer Lopez famously sold her first baby pics for a reported $6 million and Brangelina hit the payload with a $14 million payday for pics Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline in 2008 (and donated the money to charity)—but times have changed. Mariah and Nick are only expecting somewhere around 200 hundred thousand for their first baby pictures and we're just not sure there is actually any tasteful way to sell baby pictures.
