Newspaper Cover Mistakes Cuban And Puerto Rican Flags

Notice anything wrong with this picture?

We couldn’t help but do a double take when we saw the Cuban flag being used to promote the 2012 Puerto Rican Day Parade, which takes place on June 10. The cover features Superbowl champion and Latina’s June/July cover model, Victor Cruz, who will be representing Boricua pride with his own float this Sunday.

Sure, Puerto Rico and Cuba are sister islands or as some say, "the two wings of one bird" since the Spanish-American War, which is why the flags are so similar, but shouldn’t a major publication know the difference? Really, how many people saw this before it printed?

One thing is for sure: we're guessing this graphic designer won't be adding this one to his portfolio!
