Coming off the heels of their Grammy win last weekend, reggaeton stars Wisin y Yandel have revealed that they're working on the followup to Los Extraterrestres, their chart-topping and, now, award-winning album. El duo dinámico is in the studio recording their ninth studio LP, La Revolución, which is scheduled to drop in May, and the boys say they're actually revisiting older sounds this time around:

"It'll be a return to our origins," WY tell Agencia EFE. It'll have everything."

The boricua cuties also reveal that they're hitting the studio with the likes of Ivy Queen, 50 Cent and Aventura frontman Romeo for collaborations that will appear on La Revolución. And while the album sounds guaranteed to be another top seller for Wisin y Yandel, we're not exactly sure how it'll represent a return to their roots. After all, Wisin y Yandel been working essentially the same formula for success since they first arrived on the scene over a decade ago; if there's any reggaeton act that's stayed true to their sound over the years, it's them! Hopefully they've got something unexpected up their sleeves, because we could use a few pleasant surprises from reggaeton stars these days...
