Looks like ‘El duo de la historia’ are going to continue well, making history. According to an earlier report by Fox News Latino, fellow reggaeton star Don Omar allegedly expressed to fans at a concert that Wisin y Yandel were breaking up. Rumor had it that Yandel (born Llandel Veguilla Malave) was willing to split up the group in order to pursue a solo career.
We reached out to the dynamic duo’s record label, which confirmed that Wisin y Yandel are not splitting up. In addition, the Puerto Rican newspaper, El Nuevo Dia, spoke to the singers’ publicist, Jennifer Nieman, who clarified what Don Omar really meant at the concert.
“He did not say at anytime that Wisin y Yandel are breaking up,” Nieman said to the publication. “Yandel came to support Don Omar and I cannot give a comment about something that I do not know of. They are solid as a group and each of them also has their individual projects going on as well and they mutually support each other,” she confirmed.
She also added, “That I know of Don Omar is not Yandel’s publicist or manager.” Ouch! Looks like we can expect more rakata from these two!
Did you believe the hype?
