Sometimes in life, there are technical difficulties. So was the case for part-Puerto Rican Scotty McCreery, who experienced a microphone flub this past Wednesday at Game 1 of the World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers.
The 17-year-old American Idol alum was in Busch Stadium to sing the National Anthem before the game when his microphone went dead before he could even belt out the first line. He kept singing and once his microphone sound was fixed, McCreery gave a wonderful performance—with a country twinge of course!
The singer took to Twitter after the incident to write about the experience. “Well, as mr George Strait would say, I wasn't here for a long time, but I was here for a good time! Great time in St. Louis yesterday!” he wrote.
