Demi Lovato is showing what real pop princesses are made out of – raw talent. The 19-year-old singer performed a live acoustic version of her hit single, “Skyscraper.” The part-Mexican star belted out a raspy rendition of the track while playing the piano for her fans. The performance is so good that it will make you want to light a match and sway along like they do in all of those MTV Unplugged videos.
Lovato, who recently performed her new single “Give Your Heart a Break” on American Idol, also got real and uncensored about the struggles that come with recovery for MTV's new documentary, Demi Lovato: Stay Strong. In 2010, the 19-year-old singer and actress entered a rehabilitation center in Chicago where she spent a few months battling an eating disorder and deep emotional issues rooted from her childhood.
We are glad Lovato is healthy and back on track! The pop star is launching her tour across Latin America on April 13th. Her new video, “Give Your Heart a Break,” also premieres on April 2nd, but until then you can watch her blazing live performance of “Skyscraper” below.
