Early in November, the Como La Flor singer received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame making history for the Quintanilla family.

Recently the Dreaming of You singer's sister, Suzette Quintanilla shared a heartwarming photo of the early days of their musical journey. As depicted in the 1997's film Selena starring Jennifer Lopezthe Mexican-American star's father Abraham Quintanilla, formed a family band called Selena y Los Dinos.

Selena's dad was known for pushing his children to their full potential and making sure they all succeeded in their musical endeavors.  

Taking a moment to look back, kid sister, Suzette posted the photo paying homage to the late Tejano Queen and manager father with the flick below reflecting the financial struggles, family sacrifices, and advice to aspiring musicians who are trying to be heard and seen in the music industry.


In her caption, Suzette got real about the everyday battles of starving artists face during as she reflected on how far the family has come.
