Oh, sweet tunes! Musica is a powerful thing: It can make us happy, sad and sometimes angry, so we think it's safe to say that it holds the key to our heart and soul. Some artists have managed to take over our emotions, not only in English, but in Spanish as well. From Fifth Harmony to Pitbull, here are some singers or bands you never knew had a Spanish album:
1. Spanish Albums: Christina Aguilera
In 2000, Aguilera released her second album and first Spanish-language album, Mi Reflejo. The album included Spanish versions of songs from her first album and new Spanish hits.
2. Spanish Albums: Natalie Cole
Earlier this year, the 63-year-old singer released Natalie Cole En Español. The singer told Billboard that she had a Salvadorian kidney donor to thank for giving her the strength to record her first album post-operation. "I don't believe in coincidences. I believe everything happens for a reason. That this was a Latin family, I feel like I'm part Latino now. That (made) the desire to make this record became even stronger," Cole said.
3. Spanish Albums: Andrea Bocelli
The 55-year-old Italian tenor came out with a full Spanish-language album called Amor en Portofino in early November 2013. Bocelli enlisted the help of various stars, including Jennifer Lopez, for his album.
4. Spanish Albums: Fifth Harmony
Girl group Fifth Harmony, which boasts three Latina members, released a Spanish EP titled Juntos on November 8, 2013. Although it only included five songs, it was very well received by fans.
5. Spanish Albums: Jennifer Lopez
In 2007, Lopez released her fifth studio album fully in Spanish and titled it Como Ama Una Mujer. After the album’s release, the 44-year-old star credited her then husband Marc Anthony for believing she could achieve this crossover.
6. Spanish Albums: Carlos Santana
The Mexican American rock star has been very popular since the late 60’s, but 2014 will mark the first time that Santana will release an all-Spanish album.
7. Spanish Albums: Destroyer
The Canadian band is planning to release a Spanish EP on December 2 throughout Europe.
8. Spanish Albums: Pitbull
The 32-year-old recording artist is known for hits such as “Give Me Everything” and “Feel This Moment,” but in 2010 he released a full-length Spanish album called Armando.
9. Spanish Albums: Nelly Furtado
Furtado debuted her first Spanish-language album, Mi Plan, in 2009. The Canadian singer won the Latin Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Album for Mi Plan.
10. Spanish Albums: Beyonce
Beyonce released Irreemplazable in 2007 and proved that her powerful voice could clearly master any language.
