Shakira’s concerts are a hot commodity! The Colombian pop star recently signed a hefty deal with the concert promoter, Live Nation, which will allow the company to profit from the mega pop star’s empire including her music, sponsorships, and merchandise, reports Rolling Stone.
The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer will continue to receive distribution services from Sony Music, which means that Sony and Live Nation will split the profits of her musical empire. In 2008, Shakira also signed a deal with Live Nation that would include a 10-year commitment following her three upcoming albums.
Back in February, it was announced that Shakira was joining forces with Jay-Z as the newest member of his management company Roc Nation. The change has been working in Shakira’s favor.
Her last album Sale el Sol sold over four million copies worldwide and produced hits like, "Rabiosa" and "Loca." Yep, Shakira is definitely taking care of business.
