RBD: Where Are They Now?

Throughout the 2000s, Latino teens worshipped the ultimate Mexican band: RBD. Comprised of actors and singers Anahí, Dulce María, Maite Perroni, Alfonso Herrera, Christian Chávez and Christopher von Uckermann, the band came to life for the first time on the Televisa series, Rebelde. They quickly took on a life of their own — until they sadly parted ways in 2009.

You must be wondering: where are they now? We've got the scoop on all the members of RBD:

1. Anahí

After RBD disbanded, Anahí launched her own solo career. She released an album in 2009, and has released several other singles — even one with her former bandmate Christian Chávez. She also appeared in Dos Hogares in 2011.

These days, Anahí has taken a step back from her own career to focus on her fiancé, Manuel Velasco Coello, the governor of Chiapas.

2. Christian Chávez

Christián Chavez released two albums after RBD: Almas Transparentes and Esencial, and is probably best remembered for the salacious video for "Libertad," which features his RBD bandmate AnahíIn the video, Chavez, who is openly gay, tells a priest in a church confessional that he is not sorry for his sexual preferences. Since 2011, the video has garnered over 8 million views.

On a personal note, Chavez toned down his hair color, but, unfortunately, suffered through some very public relationship drama. In 2009, he confirmed his divorce from B.J. Murphy, whom he married in Canada in 2005. In April 2013, his personal life made headlines again after an arrest for alleged domestic violence against his partner, Ben Kruger.

He also made headlines in October 2013 when he faked his suicide on Twitter.

3. Alfonso Herrera

After the demise of RBD, Alfonso Herrera openly admitted he had no plans to continue a musical career. Instead, he devoted his time to telenovelas and other acting projects. Since then, he's starred in multiple novelas, including Camaleones, El Equipo, El Diez, and El Encanto Del Águila. In 2014, he appeared in the movie La Dictadura Perfecta, a story about a Mexican television channel tasked with making a corrupt governor a political star.

Believe it or not, he's even more attractive now

4. Dulce María

In 2009, Dulce María signed with Universal Music, and has since released two solo albums: Extranjera in 2010 and Sin Fronteras in 2014. In 2010, she released the wildly popular single "Ya No," a song which now boasts over 15 million views on YouTube.

Dulce Maria didn't give up her acting career, either! The Mexicana also starred in multiple novelas and feature films, including Verano de Amor and Alguien Ha Visto A Lupita? Plus, in 2010, this redheaded bombshell earned a spot on People En Español's Most Beautiful People list. Not bad, Dulce!

5. Maite Perroni

Maite Perroni's career has been on fire since she left RBD in 2009. She's starred in multiple shows in recent years, including Cuidado con el ángel, Mi Pecado, Triunfo Del Amor, Cachito De Cielo and La Gata. In addition to her on-screen success, Perroni has released some huge hits, including Tú Y Yo and Vas A Querer Volver, which peaked at #20 and #19 on the US Latin Pop charts.

In 2014, this dynamite Mexicana announced that she would continue her world domination and infiltrate the world of fashion through a partnership with National Stores Inc.

6. Christopher Von Uckermann

Christopher Von Uckermann has kept relatively quiet since his RBD days. From 2009 to 2012, he starred on Kdabra, which you can stream in its entirety on Hulu. He also released one solo album, SOMOS, in 2010, and released an English-language single in 2012.
