Pitbull loves competition. In a recent interview with MTV, the Cuban American rapper spoke about his excitement for the wildly successful summer jam “Give Me Everything,” which reached the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart last month. The song features R&B crooner Ne-Yo, producer Afrojack, and singer Nayer.
“When you put that in together, it becomes a paella—which is almost like a gumbo of different seafood," Pitbull said. The Miami-bred rapper loves his new song competing against others such as LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” and Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” because it “just goes to show how big ‘Give Me Everything’ is.”
“When you see that battling of the number one with such great records, that means it’s a great summer,” Mr. Worldwide said. “And not only that—it’s great music.”
In addition to his love for competition, Pitbull recently copped to a love for Zumba, a Latin-inspired dance workout created 10 years ago by Alberto "Beto" Perez.
“The reason that Zumba and the Pitbull movement live together is because they pull from the same,” the 30-year-old pop star said at a recent convention for the fitness brand, explaining that Latin music genres such as salsa, merengue, and hip-hop are essential components to both his style and that of the fitness craze.
