As the 3.4 million residents of the island are still in need of the dire relief after Maria, the 36-year-old took matters into his own hands and lent his private jet to fly cancer patients out of the island. While President Donald Trump was busy tweeting on the NFL's "take a knee" movement, and blaming the isla around their debt, Puerto Rico's Congresswoman Jenniffer Gonzalez took to Twitter to express her appreciation on the humanitarian.

"Thank you @pitbull for lending your private plane to move cancer patients from PR to the USA so that they can get chemo," she tweeted. In a statement to the Daily News, the 36-year-old superstar humbly said, “Thank God we’re blessed to help. Just doing my part”. The Cubano along with Marc Anthony, Gina Rodriguez, and Jennifer Lopez have used their platforms and resources to provide the victims of Hurricane Maria with the best support as possible.
This isn't the first time Mr. 305 has received recognition around his acts of kindness. In March he was honored with the first-ever Global Ambassador Award at this year's Songwriters Hall of Fame ceremony for his activism work.
