Pitbull is empowering Latinos to hit the polls by donating one of his tracks to the non-partisan national organization, Voto Latino. The non-profit founded by Rosario Dawson, is using iTunes as a platform to release a compilation album consisting of more than 30 free downloads featuring artists like, Los Tigres del Norte, Ozomatli, Los Lobos, Kat Deluna, and more.

Mr. 305’s track “Something for the DJ’s” will be featured in the album, which encourages our Latino youth to hit the polls for Election 2012. Voto Latino CEO/President Maria Teresa Kumar explained, "Everyone should have an understanding of the system whether or not they're eligible to vote and we believe that offering free music through social media platforms will help continue to motivate and engage those that may not already be a part of the conversation."

Besides Pitbull forming part of the project, we love that the compilation is culturally diverse and includes a range of genres including regional Mexican, hip-hop, rock, and more. Form part of the movement and support the cause by visiting Voto Latino’s Facebook page and download the free tracks.

Now that’s music to our ears.
